The main towns are le Palais, Sauzon, Bangor and Locmaria. There are numerous hamlets dotted all over the island, many with charming, unspoilt old cottages, almost all built in the traditional style. The car ferry from Quiberon comes in at le Palais, but Sauzon is the main port for sailing boats and this is where the best restaurants are to be found.
